1.18.2026 - When God Meets Us on the Road of Obedience

Have you ever wondered why in the world God would expect you to do some of the things he calls you to? And why you should have the confidence to follow? Because God meets us on the road of obedience. 1 Kings 18:1-15 is an example of that promise. Seth Williams, VCL's Director of Youth & Families, will preach a message titled "The Incomparable Christ" (Colossians 1:15-23). In a world filled with uncertainty, fear, and competing voices, we need a broader view of Jesus — the One who created all things, sustains all things, and reconciles all things to God through His blood on the cross. Paul lifts our eyes to see the supremacy and sufficiency of Christ so that we would worship Him with awe and trust Him with our lives. Join us this Sunday as we behold the incomparable glory of Jesus and find fresh confidence in the One who holds all things together.
